Enhancing Our Church Experience
After attending Overland Park Christian Church for 50 years I saw something new. A young couple, who had just started attending, brought a couple of coffee mugs into the sanctuary and placed them on the floor by their seats. My first reaction was to remind them of our policy of “no drinks in the sanctuary”, but then I thought a more welcoming approach might be to provide a cup holder for their drinks.
Luckily my son is in the metalworking business, so I had the ability to provide a solution to the young couple’s dilemma. JavaCom was born, created in the hope that other churches might use it in a similar welcoming manner. My guess is you already have members or visitors who bring their water bottle or coffee cup to the church service, and would appreciate the convenience of a cup holder.
